Cardiff Castle
We are the main contractors at Cardiff Castle carrying out work involving conservation work to the external elevations of the house and specialist decorations to the former George Thomas Suite.
The fireplace picture displays the detail of stone carving within the walnut room. This fireplace was heavily painted with many coats of paint and most of the detail that you see was hidden. This paint was carefully removed by many different means to bring the fireplace back to life. The carving is of Jack and the Beanstalk. The internal rooms of this area of the castle were in a poor state and they have all been redecorated.
Also, details of original marouflage wall covering and dado/stencil work was also carried out.
